President Maria (Marjo) White was born in The Netherlands, and now resides permanently in the USA. She speaks Dutch and basic German, as well as English. After high school, Marjo studied nursing and later specialized in intensive care and anesthesia. She also studied community health care. In 2012, Marjo received her Master’s Degree in Public Health Care. During her master’s study, she followed a coaching program which gave her the ability to support people as a Lifestyle Coach, which she is still actively practicing.
In 2001, Marjo joined medical teams of an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) based in the Netherlands that provided medical care in low-to-middle-income countries such as Uganda, Yemen, Sumba (Indonesia), and Guinee Bissau. In 2010, she became a Policy Maker of Foundation Interplast Holland. Within this organization, she set up a very successful nationwide burn prevention program in Uganda.
Marjo has significant experience providing Home Watch services for friends and colleagues during their vacations.
Vice-President Dr. Alan White is a military veteran and retired Federal Law Enforcement Senior Executive with 35+ years in national and international law enforcement. He served as the Director of Investigations for the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), responsible for directing and supervising global criminal investigations impacting programs and operations of the U.S. Department of Defense. Alan also served as the Chief of Investigations for the United Nations-backed Special Court for Sierra Leone, West Africa, where he directed all war crimes investigations involving the Sierra Leone Civil War. His efforts led to the indictment and subsequent conviction of Charles Taylor, former President of Liberia, for war crimes. Alan also served as an Ohio police officer, specializing in crime prevention, community policing, and public relations.
Alan has also been a Certified Fraud Examiner, engaged in establishing anti-corruption and anti-fraud prevention programs globally on behalf of the U.S. Government and other countries. As a small business owner of a global consultancy for over 14 years, He brings a wealth of experience, doing business both nationally and internationally, to A&M Home Watch Services. Alan remains active in various associations having to do with his background.
Marjo and Alan have been serving the public worldwide for overs 35 years each, so having a sense of purpose and serving a community is truly in their blood. Now that they’ve finally settled in Southwest Florida, they want to continue their community service by providing a much-needed service to the local community. They want to work together in helping people while garnering their talents and resources and transforming it into a business.
We had the pleasure of meeting Marjo and Alan at the NHWA’s 2019 North American Conference in Fort Myers, Florida, last week.
